Catching a joyful moment

At the start of May I was helping an elderly couple to pack their life into four large suitcases. So many memories were left behind. So many items … Not long time ago they went through a similar process. There were nine suitcases instead of four at that time.  And now they have less, but not really, as they have still each other. Years ago they prepared everything to be ready for their golden years. It felt good to be in control. Everything was in order. And suddenly, when their health deteriorated, the decision was made to improve their situation for the better; to make their life easier.

TravelThere were so many choices…

And the choice made by them was not a bad one, but the outcome was slightly different than they expected.  It was too hard for them to see a positive side in it and they moved on to another place, which hopefully will fulfill their physical needs.

It was a strong reminder for me that there is also other side of our life.

It is so important to find a joy in a moment; in what we have now, but not only the material part. Things will come and go. And they will become less and less important closer to the time when we will not need any of them at all.

Finding a joyful moment in any situation and catching it …

But sometimes it is so hard …

Sky is the limit. Go and get every joyful moment possible; they are like stars in the sky …
